Mother’s Day Cross Stitch Pattern

I designed a free Mother’s Day Cross Stitch Pattern for you to stitch.

Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers in England today, I hope you are having a nice day despite the problems in the world.

Some of you may not get a chance to see your loved ones for whatever reason and maybe awfully sad but I designed this Mother’s Day cross stitch pattern to brighten someone’s day!

Free Mother's Day cross stitch pattern, the word Mother is surrounded by pretty flowers onto black fabric.
Threads to use for Mother's Day cross stitch pattern.
These are the colours I will be trying out for the free pattern

This pattern may be a bit late for Mother’s in England but I have translated the word “Mother” into seven languages, as Mother’s Day falls at different times depending where you live.

I think next time I will just design the alphabet to allow people to design their own! Lol…..

The translations are for the word “Mother” into the following languages

English Mother
American Mom
French Mere
Spanish Mama
Italian Mamma
German Mutter
Dutch Moeder
Russian Mama

Cross Stitching and being a busy bee

This is quite a long post so be warned!

I have not had the chance to catch up on my blog because I have been in England, I went to see Riverdance in Manchester, the Irish Dancing show that took the world by storm 25 years ago. It was fabulous!

We nearly did not manage to return to France, our flight was cancelled and then re-instated but no-one bothered to tell us, we found out two hours before the flight was due to leave. We ran to the train station and then to the customer services where we just managed to get boarding passes in time, we had five minutes to get to the boarding gate! Lol…. It was a large plane with seven people on board, it felt like a private jet!

On our arrival in France, we were stopped by the Police to check our paperwork because you have to have good reason to be outside due to the coronavirus restrictions. We just went to the supermarket and there was nobody else in the store except the assistant stood behind a pvc screen wearing a mask.

I was happy to get home and be on lockdown so I can get lots of cross stitching done, I love it!

Stoney Creek Snowman work in progress.

Cross stitched Snowmen

I have been stitching on my Stoney Creek Snowmen cross stitch over the past few weeks, I have nearly finished it since taking this photo, just a few more back stitches and then I can show the completed design.

I have thoroughly enjoyed stitching these bright colours on 14 count fabric.

When I saw this next design I simply could not resist purchasing the pattern from Priscilla and Chelsea, Stitching with The Housewives on Etsy.

Such a cute Bunny!

I think it only took a couple of evenings to stitch the pattern, I was then inspired to dig out a pattern I designed for my blog in 2017, I changed the word from Easter to Spring and changed mini cat from black to brown.

You can download the pdf pattern from the original page here

I did get carried away with the Spring Mini Cat, I designed some new merchandise for my new TeeSpring store here

The lady is a model, it is not me in the photo!

I am so happy to get home after all the coronavirus worry, I thought this little photo of a pillow I stitched in 2016 was most appropriate.

You can see the original post here

I hope you all keep safe and well, please look after your loved ones, we never know what is around the corner, life has a strange way of taking a different direction, sometimes without warning.

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

I am so glad you are home and safe. The situation is the same here in the United States. We have stay at home rules with most everything closed except for grocery stores and pharmacies. Schools are all closed. This caught all of us off guard and totally unprepared. Grocery stores are hit and miss with more empty shelves than full shelves. It is a good time to do all the tasks one puts off all year – cleaning closets, cupboards etc. I am afraid we are in for a long haul here – two weeks down!! I love the Home Sweet Home pillow – how appropriate that is at this time! Happy Stitching Lynn!

Lynn: Lynn: Your Mothers Day design is beautiful, I am loving the snow people, so cute, the Easter design is adorable, thank-you for the links.
I am very happy you are home, how horrible this virus is. We are happy in our small town no one is taking more then they need, we are lucky.
Stores are open plus all restaurants are having pick-up which is wonderful especially for truckers and emergency people.
