Stitching for Christmas
Here is my latest Christmas cross stitching, the Joy House ornament I finished recently.
A cute white house with red flowers growing up the side, two little birds, one is sat quite happy on the birdhouse.
There are holly vines across the top with a pretty red love heart trimmed with white ribbon.

I had this lovely red polka dot fabric in my stash and decided to use it for this ornament.
The red contrast against the black fabric really makes the design pop.

The white cord trim I made using dmc stranded cotton thread twisted by using a drill. Once it was tightly woven I then folded the cord in half, it will then wrap around itself to produce this cord.
The little hand made button is glued on but I stitched faux stitching on it to make it looked sewn on.
I did not have a curved needle to enable me to stitch it onto the ornament.
