Santa update, Bookstore finished and more stitching on Free Advent Calendar

Christmas Santa cross stitched in dmc stranded cotton and trimmed with gold beads

Hi everyone, I have finished cross stitching the Santa pattern from Mirabilia, just need to do the beading!

I am loving this Santa pattern, it really is quite a simple design to stitch as there are large blocks of colour together, I really enjoyed stitching this. I stitched it using the called for DMC threads and I love the result.

My next finish is The Book Store by Country Cottage Needleworks, again another easy design to stitch.

The Book store cross stitch by Country Cottage Needleworks, a pretty little house with a picket fence, two trees and birds watching the world go by

Summer Pattern

I started designing this pattern last year but I have lost the design on my computer, I think I accidentally deleted it so I have to start all over again!

It is a pretty Summer design and I love the colours, I am unsure whether to put a Jane Austin verse in this, I just need to think about it a little more.

I am still working on the Free Patterns from Brooks Books, they are so lovely and bright to stitch.
Brooks Books Calendar Cross Stitch, one cross stitch pattern for each month of the year showing different animals each month

One of my blog readers sent me a photo of this beautiful needlebook she stitched using one of my free patterns, isn't it gorgeous! I loooooove it!!!!!

Everything about it is simply outstanding, I love the way she has put the needlebook together with beads instead of cross stitch and the perfect blanket stitches around the edge.

Lesta has really inspired me to try and make one just like this.

If you would like the free pattern for the cross stitch pattern you get it here from my blog together with all of the other designs of the seasons.

Freebie Friday and stitch along

I have designed the Autumn pattern for the seasons series for 2019, the pattern is now available here

You can see the first Summer pattern in the series here

I am planning on doing a stitch along if anyone would like to join me, I will be making a smaller  design to compliment the Autumn 2019 pattern which will be finished and offered as a free giveaway to one winner.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is join in the stitch along and send me a photo of your fully finished cross stitch that has been made into a finishing of your choice, for example a pillow, a mini quilt or anything you decide.

Full details of the stitch along will be posted on this Friday 13th September.

Edited: Stitch along now finished

Until next time, happy stitching!
