Mini Cat Calendar finishes and shawls

Hi everyone, here are my latest mini cat finishes for the 2018 calendar cross stitch patterns.
I thought the fabric was ideal for these finishes, I managed to get at least twelve colours which will work  perfectly for the monthly series. I will be designing May soon which I think may have flowers incorporated into it. Don't forget the patterns are free on my blog here

Stitching news

I am still stitching the monthly design pillows but need to do some finishing on a few of them and then I only have one more to stitch and all twelve are completed, I will show those soon.

Knitting

I have been in a knitting mood again, I love knitting shawls at the moment, this one is the Simple Shawl by Jane Hunter, you can find the free pattern on Ravelry here and you can see the details of the yarn I used on my Ravelry page here

I loooove this shawl, it is the perfect size for me, I am 5ft 4" , I did not want the shawl to drown me, and of course it had to be pink!

I have started to knit another shawl, this one is a little more complicated than what I am used to knitting but I am aiming to improve my skills and knit something a bit fancier. This has a lovely mosaic pattern, I purchased the yarn from Yarndale at Skipton last year.

The pattern is the Emiliana Shawl  by Lisa Hannes, you can see it on Ravelry here

The yarn is from John Arbon Textiles, it is so soft and squishy!

I have gone wrong a few times and had to pull it back, but I see that as a learning curve so it doesn't really bother me having to do that.

Until next time, happy stitching!

Hi Lynn. The shawl you knitted is so pretty. I will have to show it to my daughter and see if I can entice her! Just finished cross stitching "June" from the SAL. Enjoyed it and am looking forward to the arrival of the July design soon! Enjoy your summer! ~Barbara
