I started it this week and finished it in a couple of evenings, I am so pleased with it, the colours are just gorgeous. The chart uses four DMC threads and three Crescent Colours, I am glad I chose to go with the threads called for in the pattern as the Crescent Colours just make it a little bit special!
It was a delight to stitch and I can't wait to get it framed.
Little House Needleworks next work in progress
I love Little House Needleworks, they really make my heart sing, so I decided to start another that has been in my stash for a while, Home of a Needleworker, I started this yesterday and already I love it. (photos below)
Cabled scarf/shawl progress
Remember the cabled scarf/shawl in my last post? Well, I got that finished too and I am quite thrilled with it. The cosiest of shawls, it feels so lovely, and I just loooove cables on anything! (photos below)
You can read all about the pattern and yarn I used on my Ravelry project page here
Stitching News
I have just started making a little gift for someone, a gift set with lots of goodies included.
The 11pm Shawl pattern by Alicia Plummer on Ravelry, click here to see the pattern or on my Ravelry page to see the details
It is the perfect size to wrap up in when it is cold outside.
It measures 68" approx 172cm
Chunky yarn (Bulky)
The main body of the scarf/shawl is knit using 8mm needles (US 11) so it is super fast to knit.
I can see myself making more of these for Christmas gifts.
Long enough to wrap around the front and hang nicely at the back.
Here are some pretty stitch markers, little stars in glass balls.
Until next time, happy stitching!
