Hi everyone, the bees have landed! Don't you just love bees? I do, especially on fabric.
I have been quite busy this last few weeks doing various projects, the first was a gift I sent to a blogging friend, it hasn't arrived yet so I can't show it until it arrives at its destination.
Stitching news
I just want to say thankyou to all the people that requested the pattern for Miss Mini Loves to Shop, she was a real hit! Apologies to those that have not heard back from me, quite a few people do not know they are no-reply bloggers, which means I have no way of contacting you. I always reply to emails, if you have not heard from me please send me your email address and I will send you the pattern.
A few months ago I completed a Harry Potter project bag, you can read about it in this post here if you missed it, but I loved stitching it so much I had to make another, so I stitched Hermione Granger.
Now I hate to admit this, but I have never read the books or watched the films so I don't really know much about the characters except she looks so cute designed into this cross stitch and I could not resist her, it was a freebie I got from the internet, it is not one of my designs.
I will be making her into, yes you guessed it, a project bag!

The bees have landed!
I purchased this lovely bee fabric in London in April and made it into this notions pouch with a lace zip and faux suede tassel, I am really happy with this notions pouch, I am going to make a project bag to match of course. I made the bee charms into progress keepers and stitch markers, they are available in my Etsy shop, they are very cute.
Photos below.
For many years I have wanted to stitch some blackwork, I finally got around to doing some in this project but I stitched it in blue silk instead of black, its not finished yet but it is not very big and should be a quick stitch.
The bag and some of the bee charms are available in my Etsy shop from today.
This fabric is gorgeous!
Here she is..........
Hermione Granger from Harry Potter
I love her!
Until next time, happy stitching!

Such a gorgeous project bag! I love your special touches.
Hi Lynn
I love your Hermione. She reminds me of my granddaughter, except for the fact that Jess has glasses! Do you remember where you found her please? Your designer range of bags is looking great! That bee fabric is wonderful.
I must have missed you Miss mini cat loves to shop as we were away for a few days so I'd love it if you could send her to me please? Many thanks for all of these mini cats. One day I will get round to all of them!

Hermione is fab! And I love your busy bee bag :)
I did some black work in blue last year, loved it, it was a different experience not changing colour every so often. I quite enjoyed it.

All your bee projects are cute, Lynn. Looking forward to seeing Hermione on a project bag. I tried to find these H.P. freebies and I found the graph but no downloadable .pdf or anything with the colour key. Did you wing it and go with your own colours?
Buzz, buzz for now. :)
Oh Lyn your bee bag is wonderful all the little extras are so sweet.
Lynn: You have been very busy, that Bee Bag is adorable.
I love that little Hermione Granger she is so sweet.
I have never mad any bags with zippers I usually send my slacks out to get new zippers, however maybe someday I will take the plunge.
I had to look at you Harry Potter bag what a sweet bag, I have never read or seen the movies but I may watch a movie or two I have heard so much about the movies.
Blessings
