All about the owls and July work in progress.

Hi everyone, I love owls!

Another accident!

I cheered myself up this week stitching these owl projects after an accident I had in the garden last week.  You know how your mind can be on other things? Well, as I mentioned before I am quite accident prone, last year I crushed my hand between the lawn mower and a tree, then I fell and bashed my nose in the motorhome, gosh my nose and eyes were a mess! I literally smacked my face on the cooker on my way down to the floor, and last week I did it again, I tripped on the decking and badly bruised my shoulder and leg! I really am trying to slow down but I tend to do everything fast! Lol....
Oh and I just remembered a couple of weeks ago I tripped in the kitchen and went headlong into the fridge door!!!!

My husband has been saying for years how accident prone I am, I did not believe him but I now think he has a point!  He always says he is scared to leave me on my own, wondering what he will find one day!!! Lol.....  Trust me I can't wear heels, my shoes are mostly flats and long skirts are a no no!

Anyway, back to my stitching.......

Owls are just cute and I love making anything Owl themed, these bags have been on my list of things to do for a while now and I am so pleased I finally got around to making them.
The small drawstring pouch was made with sock knitting projects in mind and the other bag is for cross stitch projects, it has a clear plastic front with two little studs for closing.

I have been busy making needleminders too, of course I had to make an owl themed one to match the cross stitch project bag!

The progress keepers are currently available in my Etsy shop but the needleminders and owl bags will be in my next shop update in a few weeks time.
SOLD

Here are my owl progress keepers that I use in my knitting projects.

I sold this pretty Tilda pincushion this week and had a small amount of the fabric left over so decided to make a matching scissor pouch.

It is now all wrapped up and on its way to the customer.

It's funny but I get so much fun out of wrapping the parcels!

The monthly Hands on Design stitching club arrived last week and I managed to get it stitched quite quickly, they can be easily completed in one evening.  I love the colours for July, I am thinking of doing some applique on the pillow for this month.

The pack includes the fabric, thread, needles, needleminder, buttons and the pattern for all 12 designs.

Until next time, happy stitching!

Oh, Lynn! Do be careful. Though, I must admit, it's nice to know others have the Calamity Jane Syndrome like I do. Lovely stitching - great additions to your little shop, too ❤️

I am, also, an accident prone person so you are not alone. Just last week, I opened the cabinet door right into my head - biggest goose bump I have ever had! This was followed by a black and blue forehead - really sad looking. I did not leave the house for a week - it is now clearing up - thank goodness. I think maybe I need my eyes checked! Love your owl projects. Owls are the best! I am enjoying your progress on the Hands on Design - love this idea of a monthly pillow cover - just wish they were more reasonably priced. Be careful - no more accidents!

I my, fallen again! I hope it doesn't hurt you tó much....
Your bags look beautiful again and now I see a needlemarker, but what is that? How do you use it?
It's great to read you are selling stuff by Etsy, that must give a satisfying feeling when people want to buy things you have made yourself.
The Julycushion is turning out as beautiful as the others. have fun making it!

Greetings again

So many pretty owls....I'm sure they will sell quickly as they are all wonderful.

The pin cushion and scissor pouch is gorgeous too....I really love the fabric.

I'm accident prone too, but mainly with electronics! Hope you're feeling better.
The bags are lovely, what fun! And your wrapping looks good too.
