Firstly I would like to say thankyou to everyone for the comments on the Sajou post, it was nice to know that the photos have been appreciated, with that in mind I took lots of photos in London of various shops I visited, I was lucky to visit Sew Over It in Islington, Ray Stitch and Loop the beautiful yarn shop. These shops were my favourites out of the many I did visit, I could have spent hours in them all.
This week I just show a sneak peek but in my next few posts I will take you on a tour inside and you will love them!
When we returned to France we toured into Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria. As part of our trip into Germany I was very pleased to be able to meet Andrew and Andrea from the Fruity Knitting Podcast, and ladies who were fans of the podcast and who were also very talented knitters.
Andrew and Andrea held a meeting in a yarn shop where tea and cakes were served and plenty of knitting took place. It was lovely to meet the stars of this very popular podcast but also quite surreal, I know them because I see their face on a screen on You Tube but they have no clue who I am! Lol...... I will talk further in another post about Fruity Knitting, Andrea is such a talented lady that I took photos of some of her garments and they deserve a post of their own.
Cross Stitching
I did not get much cross stitching done because I was doing lots of crochet and some knitting on my first ever shawl, but before I set off on my travels I was contacted by a lady from The Fat Quarter Shop asking me if I would like to stitch the Hands On Design Hello There Linen and Button Club every month and show it on my blog to my readers, of course I said yes!
The club started in April and if you sign up for the kit you will receive fabric, threads and buttons to make your project, in this first kit I also received a little wooden plaque to mount the finished design and a cute flower needle minder.
I stitched the design in one evening, it was a very quick stitch, I will be finishing it this week and show you the completely finished project in my next post.
This was in the kit for April
Crochet and the London marathon
In the hotel doing some crochet and looking at the London Marathon medal that my husband had just received, he started running marathons only three years ago, this year he completed the Paris Marathon in April and the London Marathon only two weeks later!
The crochet yarn is Stylecraft Double Knit yarn in a lovely pink and grey, the photo does not show the colour to be as nice as it actually is.
I will take you inside Sew Over It in London in my next post
and be still my beating heart, oh my goodness, I love Ray Stitch.
Loop in London is such a lovely shop full of yarny goodness, I have taken lots of photos in here, you will love it!
I have purchased some lovely fabrics to make some project bags for my Etsy store, they will be shown on my blog soon.
I designed this little mini cat a few weeks ago and managed to stitch him quite quickly.
Until next time, happy stitching!
