Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year, we visited England and travelled around a bit, we returned on Wednesday this week and we are very glad to be home.
I thought I would start off the new year with photos of my recent framing, I finished these quite a while ago but I am happy to have them framed, and as you can Santa's Village is finally finished, I am so pleased.
It is a while since I have posted so there are quite a few things to show.
Santa's Village - at last!
Country Cottage Needleworks
Ice Cream Sundae
Little House Needleworks
Rosey
I love this pattern!
Here are a couple of close ups for the detail
I am stitching this Heaven and Earth design using two threads of DMC stranded cotton on 18 count aida fabric.
I started this red silk sampler over Christmas, it was quick to stitch but I then ran out of the red silk, I am awaiting delivery of just one more skein so that I can finish it.
This is a free pattern that I have had for a while, but I am unsure where I got it from.
This is the silk I used, it is ever so soft and nice to stitch with.
These are the Twelve Days of Christmas ornaments I am currently stitching, I was hoping to get these finished but I ran out of the red beads and had to wait for the delivery.
The pattern is by Sue Hillis Designs
I love the colours in this pattern, so deep and rich.
I have also been doing some knitting before Christmas but I cannot remember if I showed you the finished cowl, it is made from Rowan wool and is very warm and cosy.
I had a couple of balls of Drops Alpaca Silk and decided to knit these wrist warmers from their free pattern here, they are quick to knit, just a couple of evenings to finish, I think they would make a perfect gift.
Until next time, happy stitching!
