Bookmark, heaven and earth design work in progress and stitching a freebie.

Hi everyone, here is my latest finish, a bookmark from Cross Stitch Collection Magazine August 2016. I have never made a bookmark before but I love the way this has turned out, the colours are so pretty together.

I have not yet finished the back but I think I will just attach some iron on interfacing to finish it.

Stitching news

Quite a few years ago I started to stitch a Heaven and Earth Design, I did not do much and then I pretty much left it in a box, however, I have recently started to do some more work on it, I have some photos below. It is a Gothic Lady and I love her!

I have also started stitching a freebie from Jardin Prive, it is a quick stitch that I think is cute.

Here she is, Gothic Rose by Michele Sayetta of Heaven and Earth Designs, I don’t think the pattern is available anymore.
I am stitching her on 18 count aida, 2 threads over 2

Here is the freebie that I am stitching from the Jardin Prive website here
I changed the centre of this flower

Until next time, Happy Stitching!
Best Wishes and Happy Stitching.
Lynn B

Love your bookmark…..I have made many, but am always in a quandary as what to do with the back.?? Cover or not to cover. Just feel it looks unfinished with back exposed….Do you line the back? If so, what would you suggest. Thanks for your advice….. Pat Lynn

The bookmark is very pretty and I really like the way you've made the fringe. The fluffy freebie sheep is sweet. I am in awe of you and everyone else who stitches HAED projects!

If I stitch bookmarks I either sew or glue a piece of felt to the back. I have several HAED pieces which I haven't even started! My excuse os that I can't decide what fabric to start on. I normally stitch on 18ct aida, but fear the pieces will be too big when complete!

A lovely variety of stitches to share today! Well done on picking up your HAED again. Too many of these gorgeous charts get abandoned (I know mine did!).

You certainly do keep busy. I'm still trying to figure out where you get the time to design with all the stitching you do. 🙂
You are right the colours in the bookmark are beautiful. I couldn't even imagine stitching Gothic Rose with all the dark colours, but I can tell it will be stunning. If I ever get caught up with your patterns I might check out the Jardin Prive webstite….your work looks sweet.

Love your bookmark with it's fringed edging.Your HAED gothic rose is beautiful. I do hope you can keep up the momentum and continue on with her. I have been looking at the HAED designs just this week. They are so large. I liked the "A stitch in Time' until I saw the size of the required fabric. Too big.You do an amazing amount of stitchery and all so beautiful.
