Two Turtle Doves, podcasting and knitting.

Hi everyone, thankyou to everyone who commented on my giveaway in the last post, I am so glad you liked it, there is still time to enter here, the giveaway does not close until September 18th 2016.
As you can see I have been doing more Christmas cross stitching, I finally got around to stitching the second ornament in the Twelve Days of Christmas cross stitch design by Sue Hillis, the first ornament I blogged about in a previous post here . I am hoping to get all twelve ornaments done for Christmas, mmmm, fingers crossed.

I was going to photograph them both together but I seem to have lost the first ornie!!! No clue where it is, I know it will be in my craft room somewhere but I just cannot seem to find it at the moment! Lol...

Podcasts,  knitting and crochet

I have recently started watching podcasts on You Tube and I love them! They are so informative and it is so nice to see the lovely things that people have made, mmmm I may get brave one day and do one of my own but I have to admit I am camera shy so I am not sure,  maybe I can just show my hands with cross stitch in them!

The crochet and knitting podcasts have certainly inspired me to start doing some crochet  and knitting again, I did start a lovely crochet pillow a couple of years ago but I got stuck on the finishing, I really need to try and get it finished soon.

I have also just ordered some yarn to knit a cowl, now I don't normally pay much for yarn but I just could not resist buying this gorgeous Rowan yarn    from the Wool Warehouse. I love looking at Rowan patterns and have always promised myself that one day I would treat myself to some really gorgeous wool from them, so now the time has finally arrived.
I chose misty blue to compliment a navy coat I wear in winter, I only needed two balls, I can't wait to start knitting!

I added Mill Hill seed beads around the edge which is how I am going to finish all of them.

I love the colours in this

Until next time, happy stitching!

  9. Your ornament is beautiful - the beads are the perfect finishing touch. I can't wait to see all twelve. Podcasts are something new to me - guess I need to check them out. Are they different from a U tube video?? Guess I need to get with it!!

  19. how do you put those little beads around the edge? Is each one hand stitched? I love how you finish your cross stitch but don't understand the "how" of it.

  20. Hi Lynn B! Oh what an enabler you are...because of this picture and a couple others I have seen posted in various FB group pages, I had to go and buy this chart! Bad, bad, bad.

All kidding aside, I love your beading and charm. Nicely done.
