Hi everyone, on Saturday morning I was reading a blog that showed photos of a fashion exhibition in Paris, I mentioned to my husband that the show finished on Sunday evening, much to my disappointment, however, he then asked if I would like to go to Paris for the weekend!
Within the next 30 minutes I was happily getting ready for our weekend in Paris to visit the
Musee Des Arts Decoratifs!
I was born in the wrong century, I would love to have wore a dress like this!
Another favourite dress.

This photo below of the black and white coat and jacket is by the designer Karl Lagerfeld, it reminds me of the days when I used to make all of my own clothes, I would pop down to the fabric and pattern store to buy a Vogue pattern with a design by Karl Lagerfeld and a black and white check fabric to copy the pattern exactly! It seems only yesterday when I was hand stitching the hem of the jacket and attaching the beautiful lining inside.
I also remember making a black dinner suit just like this one!
Easy to see Vivienne Westwood designs!
I love the finishing on the inside of this dress!
Until next time, happy stitching!

How lovely they all are. They are all works of art. I had the chance to see an exhibit in "Palais Galliera" last June about fashion and was amazed! My mother was a seamstress and she taught me to appreciate the beauty in a dress or skirt or any type of clothing. She even made my wedding dress!
I love all dresses and shoe´s they are so very nice.
Have a nice day

O my goodness, Lynn, what a revelation....(also, what a Hubby) This
show is a gift to all of us, thanks to you. Diana Vreeland used to
rhapsodize over the le belle epoque era....such workmanship and
form....The scope of this show is outstanding and the selections so
well chosen. Many thanks for the Parisian sojourn....

Wow what beautiful fashions - your husband is a keeper! I dream of seeing Paris one day but it may be just a dream!!
The detailing of the stitching in many of the dresses are amazing! It's done by machine today but back then by hand! WOW! Thanks for sharing!
Wow this is wonderful!!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Wow! Looks like it was a fantastic exhibition thanks for sharing your wonderful photos. I'm thrilled you were able to enjoy it in person.
How cool! I love looking at fashion from days gone by :). I think my favorite is either the dark blue ball gown or the gold one on the stairs behind the dark pink.
