Home Sweet Home and digital designing for Freebie Friday

Hi everyone, Home Sweet Home, I just love that saying, in my case that is so true, I just love being home tucked away in my house, for me there is no nicer feeling.

I recently purchased a second hand book from Amazon which contained lots of pretty cross stitch designs, in the book there is a section on houses and home sweet home designs, I chose this one and decided to make two. On the reverse I stitched a Jane Austen quote, "There is nothing like staying home for real comfort".
In my stash I had some little keys that I knew one day would come in handy, I stitched them at the bottom of these pillows, I think they look so cute!

Designing this week

I have also been doing some digital designing this week, I decided to make a little bag, gift tags and a cute needlebook, you can see it below but it won't be ready to download until Freebie Friday this week, there will also be a cross stitch freebie to match the bag, if I get chance I will stitch it too.

Edited: The download is now available at this post here

I am preparing a little tutorial to show how easy it is to put the bag together.

This is the book, I think it cost me about £5

I designed all of the images on the bag using my Serif digital design software, but you can also design similar vector drawings using a free software from the internet called Inkscape, you can read about it here

I taught myself by watching tutorial videos, but be warned it is addictive!

Until next time, happy stitching!
