Wonderful day at a cross stitch exhibition in the Dordogne!

Hi everyone, I attended my first Salon de la creation a'laguille in Dordogne France on Monday and what a wonderful day we had,  I have taken some photos to show you the beautiful cross stitch on display and purchased a few items.
We packed up the motorhome ready for our long journey but it was a lovely sunny day and we saw beautiful scenery along the way.

How beautiful is this box? I have always wanted to stitch this design because it is so pretty!

I loved this pretty stall, they had lots of gorgeous cross stitch designs and accessories.

I love these gorgeous wood items for finishing designs.

Here is a photo of their leaflet, they have a shop and you can also purchase over the internet.

These are the things I purchased.

I only recently found this designer, Cuore e Batticuore, she designs the most beautiful cross stitch patterns, you can check out her blog here where you can see a link to her Etsy shop.

I treated myself to some Sajou threads.

Visiting this shop is on my list of things to do but whenever I go to Paris I always forget to visit!

Check out their shop in Paris, it is really lovely.

Just had to have these buttons!

Love this mini photo frame

I certainly arrived back home inspired!

Until next time, happy stitching!

So different to a show in the UK! You've shown and purchased some beautiful pieces. I admire how restrained you were with your purchases as no doubt you would have liked much much more! :)

Gosh, what an experience to be able to visit this show and to see close up and personal all of these beautiful stitched pieces.
I love the French style of stitching and have a few books.
Even more amazing would be to visit the Sajou shop in Paris and see all the gorgeous items there. I love their scissors although am not lucky enough to own any.
