Santa's Village - Yay it's finished!

Hello everyone, I am pleased to say Santa's Village is finished, yay!!!!!
I must admit I found this pattern to be a  bit little bit repetitive, hence it took me a while to get around to finishing it, however, I am very pleased with the result and I hope you like it too!

It looks really nice and bright and will look even nicer when it is framed. I have seen this framed in white so I think that is the finish I am going for, watch this space!

I have posted quite a few pictures below for you to get a feel for how it looks.

Follower issues

Apparently google have been messing around with settings for followers and you may have noticed your number of followers has reduced on your blog, mine certainly has. If you used to follow my blog but have noticed you no longer receive me in your inbox or I am not on your blog list please check and re follow me, I would hate you to miss out on any of my freebies!

Stitching news this week

Quite a few of my readers have asked me for the little pillow cross stitch pattern in my last post, I have now redsigned the needlebook that matches it and sent it to each person that requested the pillow pattern. I used 25 count lugana fabric and stitched it over 1 thread.
I blogged about it in this previous post.

I am planning on reshowing some of my boxes and redoing some of the patterns as some of you had missed then the first time around.

I have been asked by a few people if I intend to make any polymer clay items and matching box sets again as quite a few of you liked them, well the answer is certainly a yes!
As most of you know I have been busy moving house and country so I have not had as much time as I would have liked to do stitching, also all of my stitching materials are still packed away at the moment, unfortunately the craft room will be the last thing I get sorted.

I have some gorgeous Paris fabric so there will definitely be a Paris theme, also you know I love my tea themed stitching so look out for that!

Special project in the making

There is also something else that has been taking my stitching time, in January 2015 I started a very special project for an unsuspecting blogger, it is very detailed and requires a lot of my attention, it is a secret project that I can't wait to show you!
Hopefully I should have it finished over the next few months, the lady now knows she is going to receive the gift in the first half of this year and she is very happy about it!

Tea time mini cat is also finished, photo below!

Santa's Village Photo's

I always like to show a many photograph's so that you can see the detail of the pattern.

Here is the link to the Country Cottage Needlework designer of the pattern, I love all of Nikki's designs.

I changed one small part of the design that I did not like, there were cups over the door of the last cottage, I thought they looked a bit silly so I removed them, it is only a small detail but I think it looked nicer without them.

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

  19. Hi Lynn - I stitched Santa's Village as one large piece just as you have here when it first came out. I had it framed with a red mat and a white frame and it is so pretty. I just love it. I hung it up and it's been up ever since!! even though it's for Christmas, I just can't put it away yet.

Yours is beautiful and I know you absolutely love it after it's framed. Be sure to show us the framed piece too.

  24. Congrats on your finish! I finished mine in November of last year. And you're right, it is repetitive in parts. I love mine, but I'd never do another. I planned to frame mine in white, but ended up with a brown frame with a tiny white mat. Looking forward to seeing yours framed!
