It's a giveaway!
Hi everyone, I thought it was about time I did a small giveaway, this is a shawl/scarf I made last year, I used Drops Kid Silk Yarn which is made up of 75% mohair and 25% silk, it is really lovely and soft and feels ever so nice, it is like candy floss it is so light! I wear mine as a scarf in winter and a shawl in the summer and I love it.
I have made many of these shawls since making it but this one has a seam down the middle centre back, you can't see it when it is used as a scarf but it can be seen if you use it as a shawl.
I followed the pattern as per the instructions on the pattern but I have since watched a youtube video showing how to omit the seam in the back.
It is still very pretty though. I have never worn this but it would be a shame for someone not to get some use out of it.
Hand wash only.
Seam down the centre back neck
Delicate frill around the edge
Giveaway now closed
Until next time, happy stitching!

This is such a beautiful scarf. I am not a knitter and for this reason I would love to win a hand knit item. I have tried knitting but get no further than the basic knit and purl stitches. Crocheting is my passion but knitting scares me. My mother was a beautiful knitter - sure wish I would have taken lessons from her. I purchased a book several years ago - Teach Yourself to Knit - unfortunately it has not been used much - maybe one of these days I will overcome my knitting phobia!
I follow on gfc theresan and I love scarfs especially beautiful one's like this.

Oh how lovely! I remember the post about this beauty. I would love a chance at winning this as it is my favorite color. I also know I would use it on Sundays when attending church. Thank you for this opportunity. I also wonder if we will get to see a bit of your new surroundings?

It is beautiful and it will be lucky for anyone to win.
It's so pretty Lynn! I would love the chance to win it.
Hi Lynne, what a lovely giveaway you have offered to everyone. It is the most beautiful shade of pink, and looks delightful, and the seam at the neck doesn't detract from it's pretty look in any way, in my opinion!
I would love to be entered into your draw for the scarf as if I won, it would be a special gift for my daughter, who is the delight of my life, annd she truly needs a treat after the year she has had.
Thank you, and best wishes,
Lynda.
How can you bear to give away such a pretty piece of work!
I was going to make myself this scarf but at the moment I am knitting hats for the babies, and a shawl for my Great-Great-Niece expected at the end of January, so I will not be able to start yet.
If you really are giving it away please send it to me so that I can treasure it.
You are one very clever lady.

Lynn, this is such a beautiful scarf!! I'm not a knitter so I could never make one for myself. :( Thank you for the chance to win this.
I would love to win this scarf because it is beautiful, looks soft and also looks lightweight. Also, my knitting skills are sorely lacking and I would not be able to make something like this.
I follow you via email.
Lynn, Thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful scarf. It is very kind and generous of you to have giveaways.

Lynn, this is so lovely. I would love to call it mine.
It's beautiful. I would think of it as a birthday gift as we just had to fix our boiler and then hubby's car went and I had to find another £75 for the part for that. My current birthday gift is an alternator and a piece of copper pipe. . . ;)
This is a beautiful scarf and I would love to win it. Thanks for the giveaway. I am a follower too.
A beautiful shawl and in a lovely soft pink.I know of the yarn, it is so light and delicate. Please enter me in your free gift draw. I hope you are settling in to your new adopted country.
This is really beautiful! It looks so delicate and soft. I need to learn how to knit/crochet but I'm usually too involved in my cross stitching
Hi Lynn, I would like to win this shawl because it is just beautiful, light, feminine, soft and just the colour I love and I have nothing like it, thank you for the chance to win.
Thanks so much for the chance to win this beautiful scarf. I have made many of your cat freebies. We are cat lovers in my house. Thanks again!
I can only imagine how light AND warm mohair and silk would be -- and I LOVE pink!! :-)
Hi Lynn,
I'm new to your blog but absolutely love everything! I must admit, I am a scarfaholic. There... I've said it! There's something about warm, fuzzy wool about the neck that just makes me sigh. I have to agree with some of the other comments that I can't imagine how you can part with it, and I must also admit that I don't "need" it, but that never stopped me from wanting something so beautiful. Whatever you decide, I am just thrilled to have found you :D
Most Sincerely,
Eileen
