Silk and mohair shawl/scarf giveaway!

It's a giveaway!
Hi everyone, I thought it was about time I did a small giveaway, this is a shawl/scarf I made last year, I used Drops Kid Silk Yarn which is made up of 75% mohair and 25% silk, it is really lovely and soft and feels ever so nice, it is like candy floss it is so light!  I wear mine as a scarf in winter and a shawl in the summer and I love it.

I have made many of these shawls since making it but this one  has a seam down the middle centre back, you can't see it when it is used as a scarf but it can be seen if you use it as a shawl.

I followed the pattern as per the instructions on the pattern but I have since watched a youtube video showing how to omit the seam in the back.

It is still very pretty though. I have never worn this but it would be a shame for someone not to get some use out of it.

Hand wash only.

Seam down the centre back neck

Delicate frill around the edge

How to enter

Please do not enter if you are allergic to wool, mohair or silk as I cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions,  I have asthma and I do react to some fibres, mainly angora, so please check.
I remember when I was 17 I had the most gorgeous angora sweater in a lovely soft pink and could never understand at the time why I could hardly breathe when I was wearing it! Lol....

This is such a beautiful scarf. I am not a knitter and for this reason I would love to win a hand knit item. I have tried knitting but get no further than the basic knit and purl stitches. Crocheting is my passion but knitting scares me. My mother was a beautiful knitter - sure wish I would have taken lessons from her. I purchased a book several years ago - Teach Yourself to Knit - unfortunately it has not been used much - maybe one of these days I will overcome my knitting phobia!

Hi Lynne, what a lovely giveaway you have offered to everyone. It is the most beautiful shade of pink, and looks delightful, and the seam at the neck doesn't detract from it's pretty look in any way, in my opinion!
I would love to be entered into your draw for the scarf as if I won, it would be a special gift for my daughter, who is the delight of my life, annd she truly needs a treat after the year she has had.
Thank you, and best wishes,
Lynda.

How can you bear to give away such a pretty piece of work!
I was going to make myself this scarf but at the moment I am knitting hats for the babies, and a shawl for my Great-Great-Niece expected at the end of January, so I will not be able to start yet.
If you really are giving it away please send it to me so that I can treasure it.
You are one very clever lady.

Lynn, this is such a beautiful scarf!! I'm not a knitter so I could never make one for myself. :( Thank you for the chance to win this.

I would love to win this scarf because it is beautiful, looks soft and also looks lightweight. Also, my knitting skills are sorely lacking and I would not be able to make something like this.

I follow you via email.

It's beautiful. I would think of it as a birthday gift as we just had to fix our boiler and then hubby's car went and I had to find another £75 for the part for that. My current birthday gift is an alternator and a piece of copper pipe. . . ;)

Hi Lynn,
I'm new to your blog but absolutely love everything! I must admit, I am a scarfaholic. There... I've said it! There's something about warm, fuzzy wool about the neck that just makes me sigh. I have to agree with some of the other comments that I can't imagine how you can part with it, and I must also admit that I don't "need" it, but that never stopped me from wanting something so beautiful. Whatever you decide, I am just thrilled to have found you :D

Most Sincerely,
Eileen
