There is something rather free about driving around in a motor home, if you don't like where you are you can always change your pitch, free is the word that springs to mind!
I would like to thank everyone for their good wishes, some of your emails were set as no reply and therefore I could not answer all of the emails but I do appreciate every single comment.
We purchased this motor home last week so we are just getting used to it, I drove it for the first time on Monday, it was a bit scary but my hubby talked me through it and I managed to drive 5 miles with no issues! Lol....
One thing we noticed, everyone who drives a motor home waves at you!
I am so happy, there is something rather strange about hitting a milestone birthday (55) I suddenly got brave enough to follow my dream of moving to France. We are so excited and love the freedom we have right now.
As you know I am a lover of roses, I simply cannot get enough of them, when we get to our home in France the garden will be filled with Roses! A few months ago I happen to say to my husband that I would love to visit David Austin roses and it just so happened that we were in the area, so hubby took me there, yay!!!
David Austin Roses wins gold medals at The Chelsea Flower Show every year, that is not a surprise to me, once you have David Austin Roses there is no going back, you are simply hooked!
Here are the photos of our first day out, of course we simply had to have tea and cakes in the pretty cafe. I looooove this teaset and the coffee and walnut cake was delicious.
In my next post I will show you inside the motor home and my mini craft room corner!
My heart started to race when I saw this sign!!!
A field full of roses

What a fun adventure! The rose garden is to die for - so lovely. I know you will have many lovely memories of your new adventure - hope you enjoy each and every one!
I love roses and your pictures are just fantastic....maybe one day I'll visit there too! Enjoy your freedom driving your motor home :)
Congrats on your new motorhome! What lovely roses, I bet they smelled wonderful. Your breast cancer cat is too cute. I will certainly buy it. Every year I donate handmade items for an annual Breast Cancer Research auction.
Good for you two! Just awesome!
What a beautiful place. You must have been in heaven. The grounds look gorgeous. What a wonderful opportunity to be able to see Them. Enjoy your new motor home. Looks like a lot of fun.
What a great way to travel as you head to your new home in France! I have always wanted to rent a motorhome and tour the entire United States--my husband isn't so keen on the idea so I'll be interested to hear about your experiences with yours.
Love the garden photos--you must have felt like you were in heaven :)
The pictures are beautiful!! Congrats on your motorhome! That's my dream...to own one and travel. I can't wait to see pics of the inside!!!
Wow it is fantastic
Beautiful photos
You are certainly living the dream Lynn! WOW! How wonderful for you! I can't even tell you how much it makes my heart sing to hear that you are doing this. Moving to France! AMAZING!!! And I can relate with the motorhome....we have one too and there is NOTHING like that feeling of just picking up and going and always being "at home"
I can hardly wait to see your continuing posts...and looking forward to seeing the inside of the motorhome!!!!
Congrats on your purchase and the update. The roses look beautiful - as did the peacock I spotted wandering down the path. Please be careful and keep us updated on your adventures. Best wishes, Lynn!

Can't wait to read about your adventures in the motorhome!
David Austin roses are my favorite and I have quite a few in my garden. Right now I'm impatiently waiting for the new releases for 2016!! I'll for sure be ordering a couple. :D
Wow motorhome, that would be a great adventure! Love to hear more about your journey to your new home in France. I would love to visit France one day ha ha!
Hugs n best wishes,
Looking grate in your motorhome and what an adventure lies ahead for you. You've already made a good start, the tea and cake look delish and the roses, goodness so pretty. Enjoy your journey! Stay safe!
You're going to love living in a motor home. Picture dh, me, 3 kids, 4 cats, and a dog for 3 1/2 years. A tight squeeze but so worth it! We'll do it again when we retire.
Enjoy your trip and "replanting" to France.
Sounds like you're having fun!
Lynn: What a fun idea, a motor home, I could see just up and moving to a different spot would be so easy.
I love roses, I had them at our last home, now do not faint please, the people who bought our last home just up and got rid of the rose bushes, they were long stemmed Peace Roses planted for my murdered Sister.
The Peace Rose (I am sure you know) was named because it was smuggled out of France during world war two.
I look forward to seeing pictures of your new craft room.
Blessings
Catherine
Oh my, you are living the dream! I can't imagine motoring around France let alone seeing all those lovely roses! Wish I were a mouse in you pocket. :-)
Congrats on your motor home! I've always wanted to tour the US and Canada via motor home. One day we need to rent one for a weekend or week and see how it goes.
Your husband sounds like mine - happy to encourage our interests!
