Strawberry Tea Time Mini Cat and Rose Cottage sneak peek!

Hi everyone, this is what I have been working on over the past few days, a new  mini cat design!

I decided to do a different finishing for the strawberry cat, I stitched the polka dot fabric to the cross stitch and ironed lightweight interfacing to the back, I then placed the piece over some wadding and stiff card and laced it to secure the fabric, this was then glued in place using fabric glue, I then glued matching white cord around the edge.
I have also been designing another cross stitch pattern for my Craftsy store, but this time no cats!
It is a cute cottage with about 200 french knots in the design, I looove doing these pretty little knots, they really give a lovely texture to a design.
Here is a sneak peek of Rose Cottage, I am just making it into a mattress pincushion, it should be ready soon!
Edited : Rose Cottage is now finished, you can see it here

I thought I would show you my roses that have bloomed in my garden this week.
All in a row!
Until next time…..
Happy Stitching!
Best Wishes and Happy Stitching.

Mmmmm…. love the smell of your roses. Are they considered the "David Austen" kind of roses–with many petals and lovely fragrance? Can't get enough of your cross-stitch kitties.
