Knitting, crochet and a pretty shawl.

I am in a knitting and crochet mood, I made this pretty silk shawl in a couple of nights, it was so easy!

The wool for this shawl was a gift from my exchange partner Heike ( I blogged about it here) on Ravelry, I always thought it would make a pretty shawl as the wool is so soft and gorgeous.
I can highly recommend this pattern to make for friends as gifts for Christmas because it is so easy and quick to make.
You can see more details on my Ravelry page

It has a pretty frilled hem.
I do have a few unfinished projects of crochet and knitting, I started these cushions a while back but I did not know how to finish them off, I have been watching some tutorial videos and reading some tutorials, hopefully I will get these completed soon. I am a beginner crocheter so it is all new to me but I am pleased with the results so far.

I purchased some gorgeous kid silk wool from Drops Designs, it was on special offer, I am looking forward to making some more pretty shawls with this.
Drops Designs have lots of  amazing free patterns on their website  it is really worth taking a peek!

The colours are so pretty
Cross stitching projects this week.
I am currently stitching July mini cat and also a large surprise project, obviously I cannot show it yet but I can’t wait to post it on my blog. I am hoping to get these finished soon then I can get on with designing August mini cat!
Until next time, happy stitching!

Best Wishes and Happy Stitching.

Lynn, this loos so elegant- I'll have to take a look at the pattern, but I think the yarn is what makes it so lovely.

What a beautiful shawl! Nice colour and silky too (I hope it doesn't itch?) The wool was a very nice present from Heike!
And your chrochet has also very nice soft colours, am I right when I think you are a softcolourgirl? It doesn't show your a beginner, you have crocheted it very regular, beautiful!
And you are cross stitching as well! Of course I am curious to see the new project, but I will be patient and wait 🙂
I haven't started the July minicat yet,(sorry…) I am in love with my new op-art blanketproject and are making gifts witch can't be put on my blog yet. Furthermore I am enjoying the summerdays (when they are there….)on my new electric bike. Lots to do, not enough time :-):-):-)
    Have a nice sunday
    Greetings again

Cette écharpe est sublime, la couleur est douce et elle doit être très agréable à porter ! Cela donne très envie d'avoir la même ! Belle journée !
