A Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hi everyone, here is my latest cross stitch finished, I just need to make it into a small pillow and trim it accordingly. I plan to make all Twelve of these ornaments to put on my tree next year.

Sometimes I like to stitch patterns with back stitch as I think it gives the design real definition and makes it look really pretty, I know this is small but there is quite a bit of work in it because of the colour changes .
I am not sure if I am going to trim this with beads or matching cord, mmmm decisions, decisions!

Edited: You can now see this design finished into a small ornament here

Thankyou to everyone who commented on my labels giveaway, I enjoyed making them.

Until next time.........
Happy stitching!

  3. That is gorgeous! Just when I think I like the more primitive, no back-stitching designs, I see something like this and start to swoon!

  11. Just lovely Lynn! I'm often amazed at how much time some smaller designs take! They can be so fiddly!
