Summer stitching and crochet, plus mini quilt swap.

Hi everyone, I have been doing lots of different things over the past few weeks, I have managed to stitch a little more on this Summer project, I have not much to do on this and then it will be ready for framing.

I am also waiting for three cross stitch projects to be ready from the framers, I am hoping to show that over the next few weeks.

As most of you will know by now, the Tour De France started the tour in England and I was lucky to see them go through a town near us. I started  cycling last year but have always been interested in watching the tour on tv. We got up at 6am to see the tour go through at 11am, we were in position early to make sure we got a good view point, and I must say it was certainly worth the wait! The crowd were in good spirits and everyone had a lovely time.

I also received my mini quilt from Flo in France, she made me a gorgeous red quilt that was embroidered in the middle, Flo also sent me some chocolate and some needles with a lovely card.
Thanks Flo, I love it. There are photos below but you can see more photos of the quilt on Flo's blog here.

This is my first big crochet project after learning to crochet a granny square, it is a cushion cover, I have also crocheted the same pattern in christmas colours, I can't wait to finish them!

Worth the long wait for 60 seconds!
Until next time, happy stitching!

  1. Love the crochet and colour choices. I find granny squares easier to do than normal straightforward crochet. Look forward to seeing your summer project xxx
