Hi everyone, I signed up on Cherylls Blog to make three mini quilts this year and the first one was an Easter Swap for my partner Kerry, I made this mini quilt using this Easter sampler pattern from Red Brolly.
I also signed up for a swap on Ravelry, my partner Heike lives in Germany and this is what she sent me. Thankyou Heike, I loved it all!
Heike sent me some Kit Kat and Mars Bar chocolates that were demolished pretty quickly, a hand knitted shawl in my favourite colour, some gorgeous silk yarn, a cookery book, coffee, a pretty pin and knitting markers, as you can see everything was so nice, I am really pleased with these gorgeous gifts.
I cannot show you what I am sending Heike until she receives my gift, she should receive it by the end of April and then I will show pictures on my blog.
I included a hand made gift tag that was made in Photoshop using the Easter design I had stitched and I used a photograph of the fabric so that it all co-ordinated, I then made some hand made gift tags and a bag topper to match. (You can locate the round gift tags and the gift bag topper as a free download on my freebies page.) The little yellow crochet pin cushion was a perfect match for this set so I included that too.
In my next post I will show the gift that Kerry sent to me.

What an incredible mini! Have a wonderful Easter!
A lovely mini and great idea to make a coordinating tag.
Lynn, the quilt arrived as I said in my short email to you, but what I didn't say, is that, I have had the quilt hanging in my home for Easter and everyone has raved about it. If I have been told once what a great job 'I' have done on this mini quilt, I have been told a million times, so I am passing on the congratulations to you, on a job well done.
As I said in my note to you I hope that the mini quilt you received will bring you half the joy yours has to me and my family.
Happy Easter, with love and best wishes,
Kerry x
