Card making with mum and updated craft room photos

I thought it was about time I showed you more of my craft  room as I know you have only seen one side of it, also mum visited recently and she showed me how to make beautful cards, I have made some in the past but really it is my mum that is the card maker in our family. We had three full days of card making, all we did was eat and craft all day long, it was wonderful!

The only reason we were able to do that is because my husband is away at the moment so I did not have any diversions from my craft room,,,,, yayyyy! I did make sure I had cleaned the house before I started so that it was a guilt free couple of days.
My mum loved having her meals made and I even managed to bake a loaf of bread, well, you can’t craft unless you have home baked bread now can you!!!!
So let me set the scene for you……… white tablecloth,  tea out of china cups and saucers, salmon and cucumber sandwiches and the smell of freshly baked bread, mmmmm!

In this post I will show you the lovely cards my mum helped me to create and let you take another peek into my craft room, you can see those photos on my craft room page.
It did not take long before mum had taken over! I thought I was a messy crafter until mum arrived, this was tidy, you should have seen it when we had finished! Lol!
Mum is camera shy!
Mum has all of the fancy die cuts, isn’t this shoe fabulous!
Mum showed me how to make this fabulous shoe card……..
and of course I asked mum to do a few tea themed cards as these are always my favourite.
The cards look much prettier in real life, thay really do twinkle and sparkle, to be honest I never like to use them once they are made!

All pretty in a row!
Whilst we were making these I suddenly remembered a couple of years ago I did have a little play at card making myself, here are two of my favourites……
Mmmm, I think I like black and white…….
and of course in my favourite colour,  pink!
Well, I do hope you enjoyed my crafty day with mum.
I am currently making a cream blouse so cross stitch is on hold at the moment,  you can see it here on my dressmaking blog if you wish.
Happy stitching.
Best Wishes and Happy Stitching.

I have a hard time giving away my cards too. It's hard to decide who is 'card worthy'. I need a couple card making days. It makes a mess but it's worth it to have a bunch made at once. Love you and your Mom's creativity. I get lots of card ideas on pinterest.
