Craft room and stitching

My Craft Room

Quite a while ago I said that I would show you all my new craft room curtains and I have only just remembered!
I think the photograph shows the colour quite perfect, I love the roses along the top, they are just so pretty and I thought the blue matched my walls quite nicely, I am so glad I found them.
The poles have lovely crystal balls on the end, the photo does not show them to best effect but thay are really pretty and shiny.

My craft room curtains

One thing I am trying to improve  is to try and keep my craft room tidy as I am crafting, I am ok after I have finished, I usually tidy it away but make such a mess during crafting, is anyone else like that? I hope so!
I am going to show you.......are you ready...........Whoa!!!!

I need to get it all tickety boo for next week as my Mother is coming to stay with me for a couple of days and she is super tidy! I will have to clear all this side for Mum to craft on as she is looking forward to using my craft room whilst she is here, then I must take a photo of all of the room when it is all nice and tidy!
I am looking forward to it as my Mum makes beautiful cards so we are going to have a few crafty days drinking lots of tea and catching up.

Ignore  the little blue lace circles, I stamped them on the photo because it is a secret swap gift I am making and I cannot show it yet until I send it to my partner, I don't want to spoil the surprise.

I am just working on a little red pouch that is not quite ready yet, I used my own cross stitch design for this, you can get it from my freebies page. I also converted the cross stitch design below to a small enough size to fit into a necklace pendant, I will show that in my next post, it is really very cute.

Until next time.........
Happy Stitching!

Oh my goodness! Love your curtains in your craft room. My studio looks like several people have gone through, started projects and left them to finish later. Never a dull moment. Can hardly wait to see the sewing machine design as a necklace!! Have fun with your mother. Cherish every minute.

Those curtains are so cheery! I love blue. Yes, I am very untidy when crafting. Someone once said...creative minds are rarely tidy & I believe it to be true. When the project is done, I do clean up :)
Looking forward to seeing the necklace!
Hugs,
Lisa

Really, your mess is nothing compared to the mess my mother makes when she is crafting! It triggers her creativity, she says. :)
(I have to admit I agree with that)
Your design looks really cute. And I am looking forward to see the pendant.
Love your curtains!
Wish you lots of fun with your mom.

I had a goodly chuckle at what you termed a mess :) I think my room would drive you crazy then!
Love the curtains!

My craftroom is also the bedroom for guests, so now and then I have to tidy it up to, is good too, it clears the room and the head!
Lots of fun with your Mum!

The curtains are lovely. I love the blue & the white walls and counters & cabinets. How nice to be crafting side-by-side with your mum! I recently taught my cousin to make a pair of earrings and we had a blast.

As for tidiness... depends on the project. I do fine as long as I clean up afterwards. During the project it may look like utter chaos but I know where everything is at all times.

My problem is that I do such different activities~ cross stitch, embroidery & needlepoint and then jewelry and then watercolor painting and then acrylic painting. So each one is a completely new set-up with new materials & tools. Luckily my studio is well organized and everything is to hand. I love it all with a passion!

Your curtains are lovely - really completes your craft room and gives it a homey feel. I hope you and your mother have a wonderful few days together. There is nothing more special than mother-daughter time together. Love your cross stitch sewing machine - I need to stitch one of these.

Isn't there a saying along the lines of "a messy desk is the sign of a busy mind"? You're so fortunate to have a craft room like you do. Have fun crafting with your mom.

What beautiful curtains, Lynn! I think your craft room actually looks quite nice! I don't have a designated craft room and tend to do my finishing in the downstairs sunroom and then run upstairs to the sewing machine in my middle son's old bedroom. I do get my exercise on finishing days :)

Have a lovely visit with your mom--so nice that you are both so creative!!

I so wish I had a craft room =)
But I don't complain, I have a small 'craft corner' upstairs, that is enough for the moment ... my favourite part of the house =D
