Silk threads and Santa's Village update

Hi everyone, I know it is a while since I posted but I have been doing a large garden project with my husband,
we have been clearing the back garden for landscaping, my hubby used the digger and I operated the dumper truck - it was such fun! We moved 16 to 20 tonnes of soil and old flags, we are basically starting again with the design as it was pretty old and tired. After I had a few days rest I got a chance to get into my craft room again and this alphabet is what I have been stitching.

I love this alphabet design that I got free from Tempus Fugit blog here   I have stitched the letter  L in pale grey and pale pink on pale blue fabric, the colours are much better than in the photo, they are so soft and pretty and I simply love using this Splendor silk thread it is a joy to stitch with.  I am thinking of framing the pale pink one in a frame for my craft room.

Talking of my craft room, I did promise to photograph the other side but I keep forgetting, hopefully I will remember to do that over the next few weeks.

Other Stitching news.

I have managed to catch up with my Santa's Village stitching (photo's below) and I have also been stitching another project for an exchange, I can't show it yet until my partner as seen it but look out for that over the next few weeks. I have also been working on another set of stitching, it is something I started a while ago which ended up in my unfinished objects stash but I finally managed to get around to it, it is over one stitching and I am pretty pleased how it has turned out.  I am making it into a box finish with a Toblerone and stitching accessories so I can't wait to show you that when it is all finished.

Santa's Village

Here is my latest cottage on Santa's Village, I am now waiting for the latest pattern to arrive so that I can start stitching the next one.
I have had a few people ask me what colour I used for this, unfortunately I could not reply as some emails are set up as no reply. The colour is Pearl Grey, I bought it from Sew and So  here , it really is lovely fabric to use.

Until next time - Happy Stitching!

Pretty stitching, I love what you are working on. I've just been using silk threads for the first time and I love how they feel, something is a bit more luxurious about using them instead of the cotton and they don't seem to knot as much. Love your Santa's village progress as well!

Saw your comment on my RSS reader about not offering the full post. I totally understand that, and am debating on the issue myself. Really sorry it's happening to you :(
