Hi everyone, I finally managed to get some stitching done in my craft room and here is what I have been making, a quilted needlebook, matching pinkeep and felt strawberry. I designed the pattern based on the cross stitch sewing machine pattern I designed a while ago. I stitched it on white fabric and then chose this wine coloured fabric with cream polka dots but then realised I should have stitched the design onto cream fabric, but hey, never mind it will just have to do!
I did not have the correct button in my stash so I cut out a circle of fabric, gathered it around the edge and filled it with fibre fill to make my own button, cute huh? I hand made the cord with matching DMC stranded thread, I am not sure if I like the gold beads on the strawberry, maybe they are a bit too large, mmm not sure, but I am quite pleased with this little set, it is a gift to myself for my sewing area.
