My sisters birthday gift

It was my sisters 50th birthday at the weekend, I stitched this embroidery for her, it is called Fairies Hiding and believe it or not it was a free pattern which I got from this website, I could not locate it on the site so I emailed the owner and she sent me a copy, if you email Brenda I am sure she will oblige. Check out her Embroideries here , there are some gorgeous designs.

I loved this embroidery so much I just had to stitch this for my sisters special birthday (she loved it by the way)  and I just know I have to stitch this for my new craft room too!
This embroidery reminded me of my sister and I, we both like hiding away doing our stitching and crafting!
All of the pink is stitched in silk, I wanted to stitch it all in silk but could not find the box that contained all of my silk threads. It was a very easy pattern to stitch, I could highly recommend it, I used simple back stitch and french knots for the tiny flowers and black dots on the ladybirds.

More photographs below.

Stitching news
I have nearly finished the second house in Santa's Village and hopefully should be starting the third one soon.

I have been designing another freebie for this Friday, it is not a cross stitch pattern but another digital download to match the Sewing Machine cross stitch freebie I did last week.

Don't forget to pop back on Friday for my Friday Freebie!

Until then - Happy Stitching!
