Box making and my work in progress for this week.

Hi everyone, I am currently working on a couple of boxes, the first is covered in white silk dupion, I used this embroidery to cover the top of the box. Here are a couple of sneak previews of the work in progress, I will show you the box and contents in a couple of weeks when it is finished completely.
Here is a  close up of the spider web roses, I think the colours are beautiful.

I have also been working on my Little House Neighbourhood, here are the latest photographs.

I have also been working on a box tutorial for my tutorials blog here, I decided to make the box (below)  I had previously made for Hazel from the Quietly Stitching blog. I know you have seen this photo before but if you would like to see the instructions how to make it you can pop over and see part one on my tutorials blog.

Talking of tutorials, Lei B sent me a lovely photograph of the little pillows that she stitched using my tutorials, you can see Leis blog here , they are so beautifully stitched Lei!

If anyone else has used my tutorials or patterns I would love to see them and would be happy to show them on my blog here, just send me the photo with your blog details.

Thankyou for the lovely birthday wishes on my last post they were really appreciated.
Happy stitching everyone and welcome to all of my new followers!

Hi Lynn,

It is the end of a busy, rainy, snowy weekend
here in Canada and it feels like DH and I were
running here, running there, and then running
back over here again without stopping. So
I've come to visit your blog and relax by
enjoying your wonderful stitching, photos and
words.

The sneak peeks at the boxes that you are
currently working on are very tantalizing
and have piqued my curiosity. Those woven
roses that you make are so sweet and add a
nice bit of depth to your designs. The
pretty colors of the threads and the little
bits of bling (jewels) that you're also
using look fabulous together.

You are making great progress on LHN
Neighborhood. I love this neighborhood
in part because of all the great trees
that grow there. Trees really make a
neighborhood extra special and welcoming,
don't you think??

Those little pillows that Lei (and you)
have made are so cute and the tutorial
that you posted showing how they are
made is so easy to follow I can't wait
to gather the supplies and make my own
someday.

A belated Happy Birthday is in order
here as I seem to have somehow missed
a post or two here, including your
birthday post. Don't know how that
happened, but I'm here now and sending
you more best wishes for this special
occasion. You received some wonderful
stash from your family which is always
a treat. Ooh La La is especially cute.
And as a confirmed chocoholic I too
love that Chocolate Shoppe design.
Yum!!

Have a great week Lynn!

Cheers!

Wow, everything of yours looks so good. I could never put together a box. I'm so hopeless with finishing, it's terrible. I just frame everything, lol.

Great Wips. Love all of them. Neighborhood is also in my stash-to-do list.
And how great your tutorial is. Love it. I do make boxes and other things myself too and tried once to make a tutorial, but that is more difficult then it seems. Pictures are not the problem but I lack finding the right words...lol. There for I admire a good tutorial even more - and your's are good.
