Little House Neighbourhood progress

Hi everyone, I have not much to show you apart from progress on Little House Neighbourhood which I am really enjoying at the moment, this week I am hoping to stitch some of the border on the top and along the sides and then I can progress to the second part.

Sorry about the photo, I seem to be having problems with the focus on my pics, mmmm I will have to look at my camera and see what I am doing wrong, my photo's used to be clearer than this. I think I have accidentally clicked on a button on my camera and it has altered something?!!!!

I have been sorting out my craft room and taking photographs for a tutorial that I will put on my finishing blog, hopefully next week.

Have a happy stitchy week, until next time!

Afternoon tea and Little House Neighbourhood progress

Hi everyone, I have had a lovely week this week, I finally got the chance to use my two tiered cake stand that my sister bought me for my 50th birthday last year, it is a very pretty design with flowers and butterflies on it and I absolutely love it.  I invited my sister one day and my friend on another day but basically made the same sandwiches  for both days. We had salmon and cucumber sandwiches, ham sandwiches, scones,  fondant fancy cakes and crunchie chocolate rocks and it was absolutely delicious!  Of course we had tea which gave me the excuse to use my favourite strawberry tea set and matching plates.
I bought some lovely white napkins and a matching table cloth for a crisp white finish as I do not think there is anything nicer than  a clean white tablecloth for afternoon tea, do you agree?
I sometimes think I may actually be brave and invite some blogging friends that live close to me - would anyone come? lol   That would be fun to have a stitching day with people I had never met before but had chatted to on line!   If I invited you what stitching piece would you bring to stitch on the day?
I just love these tiny dessert forks and the matching teaspoons.

And now for my stitching progress on Little House Needlework pattern The Little House Neighbourhood.

I just need to stitch around the door and the fence
I just love these patterns, they seem to grow so quickly.
I have a number of Little House Needlework designs in my stash that I have yet to stitch, I just love them!

Thankyou for all of your lovely comments and welcome to my new followers.

Happy stitching until next time.

Sorting my new craft room!

Hi everyone, I have finally managed to start sorting out my craft room, I have displayed some of my cross stitch in this little corner, there are gifts from blogging friends here and some of my stitching too.
You will also see an assortment of books, the cross stitch book was purchased last year but I forgot I had it because it was stored in a box somewhere. I have also bought some lovely Tilda books from Amazon, I think this is going to be my favourite stitching hobby over the next few months.

I have also started a Little House Needlework design, it is the popular Little House Neighbourhood pattern.
I have provided the links for the books below

I made this pink felt strawberry following the design in one of the books, although I did alter it slightly, I made the leaves and the flower on the top a little different.
Here is my new start, the Little House Needleworks design, it has been in my stash since last year, I have finally got around to starting it. I usually like to have a large stitching piece on the go as well as stitching small designs.
This is a little work in progress area, you will see that I am stitching a duplicate of the recent Valentine giveaway I sent to Elisa and I have also nearly finished the stitching on the duplicate gift I sent to Hazel.
I have also finished stitching the pale green design that I started a few months ago, I am going to finish  it into a box. The little bird singing embroidery is a freebie from the Gum Tree Designers blog here, it was a coat hanger cover but I decided to make it into a sweet hanging ornament, although I am not sure about the blue I have chosen for around the edge.
Here are some of the craft books I have collected, I need a bookcase though!
I have recently received this order of linen and threads from Sew and So, I use 32 count Murano linen quite a lot as I love the result. The blue/grey colour is for  a Victorian Sampler pattern that my husband bought me for Christmas.

Thankyou for your visit, I hope you call again!
