Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and doing lots of lovely stitching!
I have been stitching a Little House Needlework design called Daisy Lane Cottage, I am also working on my first piece of Hardanger and I have an exchange to show you that I made for Margaret from A Sampler of Stitches blog here
Daisy Lane Cottage from Little House Needleworks.
Here is the exchange I made for Margaret, it is not the exact photo of the one I sent to Margaret, it is the one I made for Yana but I forgot to take photographs, although they are more or less exactly the same except for the polymer clay thread holder.
Margaret made me an absolutely beautiful exchange that you can see in the previous post.
Here is my first piece of hardanger, it is a work in progress at the moment, however I am not too sure I like doing this type of stitching, I find it boring, I prefer to have some colour to work with and I found the stitches a bit repetitive.
Happy Stitching everyone, thanks for your visit!
Best Wishes and Happy Stitching.

Hi, I'm visiting your blog for the first time and I see I'm gonna need more time to look at all the beautiful projects. They are great!
What pretty pieces. The LHN piece will be beautiful when it is done.
Nice to see you posting Lynn! Lovely LHN wip. Love the soft muted colours. The hardanger is very pretty but I know what you mean. I am half way through a piece that includes it and I made a mistake and put it down and down it remains! x
OOO Daisy Lane is gorgeous – can't wait to see more of that. And I love your exchange piece
I can see why you may get fed up with stitching the hardanger, but it does look pretty impressive! Well done x
Lovely stitching as always! I've never tried hardanger but I agree with the monochromatic thing. I need color for sure!
Your daisy cottage is so pretty! It looks like it would be a fun stitch.
Hardanger just wasn't my thing. I do love the look of it though. Yours is coming along nicely!
All your stitching is lovely.
Could you tell me the name of the pattern for your Hardanger piece? I like Hardanger because of the mindlessness and because there's often very little finishing, particularly if the outside of the design is buttonhole stitch that one just cuts around.
I love looking at your projects and how you've finished them.
Your LHN wip's is looking lovely and what beautiful exchange you've made. The hardanger piece looks great.
What beautiful work, the exchange piece you made is simply gorgeous.
Hardanger is quite repetitive, but I find the rhythm soothing.
How cute! Love the LHN piece
Your LHN stitching is very sweet. Your Hardanger looks great…'specially for your first! You can add colors and I have done hardanger with overdyed too – there are so many stitches to learn!
Hardanger is quite repetitive, but depending on how nontraditional you're willing to be you can add plenty of colour.
I just love LHN patterns – You may find the Hardanger piece boring but it looks lovely 😉
Daisy Lane Cottage is looking beautiful! Love your exchange piece to Margaret and your hardanger is gorgoeus!
Your stitching is just beautiful !!
Gorgeous stitching and finishing.
Love the little LHN house. Blue is one of my favorite colors.
Your exchange is stunning. You amaze me with how creative you are. You take a design and make it something stunningly beautiful.
Good luck with your first hardanger piece. I am just not that brave LOL.
I think you hardanger piece looks lovely. It isn't my favourite type of stitching either, but it can really add nicely to a cross stitched piece, like in many of Victoria Samplers' designs. Will be you doing some cutwork on this piece too? I enjoy that, even if I do get worried about mistakes
What a magnificent embroidery!
Bravo to you
Best regards marylin
PS I have a give away on my blog 🙂
Lynn, love your progress on your LHN design!
What design are using for your hardanger? I've never tried it since it seems so intimidating!
I think your first attempt at it is gorgeous 😉
Have a great week!
