My first giveaway of 2010 - The One World One Heart event!

I am having this giveaway for the One World One Heart event , it is a chance to introduce yourself to new bloggers in the blogging community and catch up with your regular blogging friends too. All you have to do is offer a prize on your blog and choose one winner to be announced on the
15 February, click on the link above for the rules.      
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
I am also having another giveaway for Valentine's day, you can enter here, this will be drawn on the 19th February.   

 



All you have to do is leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning my One Heart One World giveaway, the prize will be drawn on the 15 February GMT time at 6pm and published on my blog no later then 11pm GMT time.I would love to welcome new visitors but also look forward to seeing some of my regular visiting friends popping back to say hi.

There is one prize for one lucky winner.

The little tuffett pin pillow is 6cm across, the finishing instructions can be found 
here on my finishing tutorials blog. 
I crossed stitched this pillow using DMC thread colours 824 and 320 and stitched it on Dublin Lugana pale blue linen. The oblong pillow measures 10cm x 3.5cm
The cross stitch design for the oblong pillow was designed by me, you can find the pattern here

The bottle cap pincushion is made from craft felt and stitched with dmc thread.
Measurements - 3.5cm along the base and stands 3.5cm high.

    I am wondering if you have and would share - written instruction for your wonderful tuffet pincushion. I have made similar "tomato" pincushions - but I can't figure out how you got what seems to be a flat bottom. Or is it not flat and I am mistaken ?     Hi Lynn, (long comment beware) I;ve just discovered your blog and boy am I glad I did. I;m just trying my hand at doing my first scissor fob after getting a bit jaded with large samplers.
    I;ve got so many questions for you I don;t know where to start! - but maybe I shall just have to wait and watch your finishing blog tutorial for when you put up a scissor fob finish.

    I will quickly explain my dilema, I;ve stitched my design ok - but I think i;ve come unstuck. I was going to use the Violarium tutorial of sewing it together by hand by picking up the backstiches outlining the design. As I;ve stitched the piece over 1 on 28ct evenweave its going to make the backstiches very tiny and I think I will struggle to get a neat finish.

    Anyway... Plan B is to get some felt. I;ve not seen felt used to back pieces before - but loved the ones you have done - and the blanket stitch looks very effective. I don;t think I made a wise decision for my fabric for my first attempt.

    Try, try and try again!.
    will be following your blog with great anticipation. Fab photos by the way - great to be able to get close up pics. I;m working my way through every piece you;ve stitched to get ideas with ribbons,braid, colours, styles etc. You;ve given me great inspiriation.
