Here is the birthday gift I sent Jill at the Purple Peacock blog,
I made the box and designed the pattern for the box lid myself, the free pattern for the top of the box
will be available in my next post. The pin pillow and bag is my own design.
The pinkeep was made using a Debbie Draper freebie (I can no longer find the site) and the alphabet used for the little bag was a freebie but I have lost the information where I got the pattern from, however, I think it was from the DMC website, but if anyone would like a copy I can email it to you. I am hoping to locate where I got it from, but if anyone can help please let me know!
I made a fimo clay teapot following instructions from You Tube and the teacup was made following instructions from a book I have.
The embroidered flowers inside the needlebook
I plaited DMC satin thread for the cord on the bag
Swarovski crystal trim on the ribbon
Thankyou for your visit - please leave a comment as I love reading them!

Well, Lynn,
I think you have made one lucky girl extremely happy :>) This must be one of the most beautiful package of birthday gifts I have ever seen. The decorated box is lovelyl and truly full of treasures. The little needlebook with it's embroidered initial and lovely little spray of flowers inside is really unusual and so pretty. In fact everything, down to the sweet little covered thread holders and little teapot and cup, is exquisite.
Warm wishes Angela

You are an amazing stitcher and so very talented! That box is beautiful and the gift is oh, so generous! I think I would keel over with a heart attack if someone gave me a beautiful gift of that magnitude. You may think I am just going on, but I can see that you put a lot of work into that! It is absolutely gorgeous!
Everything is so lovely.
I especially love that embroidered spray of flowers on the needlebook and that little felt pillow is really sweet.
Do you use wool felt or an acrylic mix?
Whatever, you have made a beautiful gift for someone very lucky.

Hi, Lynn! Good to "see" you on my blog! :] Nope, I haven't forgotten about our friendship exchange coming up, are you nuts!!?? LOL
This current one of yours is just to die for as they all are. You take such pains to make them perfect, Lynn. What a kind and caring stitching friend you are.
Hugs, Deb
I am in love with the spray of flowers on the needlebook. It is absolutely delightful. What lovely gifts you have made! I've enjoyed seeing your beautiful work.
SO gorgeous - Jill is a lucky girl!!! I love looking at finishes people create - I so admire the skill and patience that goes into them
Hi Lynn,
They are so beautiful. I especially love the pouch, such an easy and elegant finish.
I do a lot of cross stitching too, but I only end up framing them for lack of ideas on finishes. Your finishes are very beautiful, I am going to give it a try.
Would you be able to send me the pattern for the alphabet? I'm in the process of searching for it but not coming up with much. Thanks
