These are the cross stitch ornaments I promised to show, the one on the left is similar to one that I made for a recent ornament exchange and the purple one was an experiment with colour and texture, I wanted to know how different they would look! I was really pleased with the result and I hope you are too because I have decided to give away the Purple Christmas Ornament as a
blog giveaway in celebration of Christmas.

I'd love to receive the ornament for the following reasons.....
Purple is my favourite colour....and don't believe you need to dress like a Goth to be one....it is all about how you feel and identify...and whether I win the competition or not....I urge you to do read the poem Warning by Jenny Joseph http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/warning/ then get out the needle and stitch up a Goth design or two...practice a little now....so people who know you are not too shocked and surprised
when suddenly you are old...and start to dress Gothic!
Wow..Purple! My favorite color, right up there with pink. Glad to see there are other people out there that think outside the box when it comes to 'traditional' Christmas colors. I have done a number of Holiday things in various shades of pinks and purples. Now if I could just get my blog in gear...lol. This is a great idea, thanks Lynn. Honestly, I'd be honored to hang this adorable ornament on my tree and call it my very own because I rarely ever stitch anything for myself. You know how it goes. We seem to always be stitching things for other people while the stash we buy with ourselves in mind just seems to gather dust. :-( I stitch an ornament for my little boy every year (he has three on the tree now) and it would be nice to look at the tree and see something someone stitched just for me! :-) Selfish, I know, but I'm being honest. It really is quite adorable, and I love the purple!

WHOA! You did a GREAT job! They are really NICE! Well please add me to your drawing? My ONLY grand daughter loves purple and I am starting her ornament collection this Christmas. She graduates in the spring from high school. I KNOW she'd love it if I had this one to add to mine for her! She's interested in CCS so maybe these will give her incentive to stitch too? It looks wonderful! I love purple, too, and I think the fuzzy fiber that you used for the cording around the ornament is wonderfully effective. I've just taken out my collection of stitched ornaments to start decorarting and I see I've used purple for ornaments more than once myself. :) My niece started stitching a stocking ornament over Thanksgiving and she chose a purple color for her ornament, too, so she must take after me.

The ornament was my favorite to stitch this year. I totally love how it came out in the purple. If I won the ornament I would give it to my friend Janice because she absolutely adores purple.

One word: PURPLE! Really, it is quite beautiful. You did such a lovely job of stitching and finishing it. It is amazing how one pattern done with different colors can be so very different. Please include me in your drawing!

I love both of those ornaments! I love the purple one the most as I really like purple, but I love the texture of it as well. It is very interesting and so very pretty!
